Rocking Out with Tigera. A Conversation with Ben from the Milwaukee Based Band.

I sat down with Adam, my co-host on the Experience Milwaukee podcast, to chat with Ben from Milwaukee based rock band Tigera in our latest episode. Together, we dove into a lively conversation that gave our listeners a real taste of Milwaukee's vibrant music scene.

From the moment Ben started reminiscing about his old podcast with his brother, I knew we were in for a ride. It's always great to hear about fellow podcasters' experiences, even if they involved seven straight minutes of saying "Labor Day" back and forth!

Ben introduced us to Tigera, describing them as a high-energy rock band that's making waves in our city. What struck me most was their commitment to putting on a show, not just a concert. As someone who's seen a lot of local acts, I can appreciate a band that goes all out on stage.

Of course, we had to talk about Summerfest. Tigera is playing on July 4th at 4 PM on the Generac Power Stage, and I'm planning to be there.

Ben even shared a killer Summerfest hack involving Red Bar in St. Francis that I can't wait to try out. It's these kinds of local insights that make our podcast so much fun to do.

We got the scoop on Tigera's upcoming gigs, including a show at the world famous Cactus Club. I've seen shows there before, and with Tigera and Dream House on the bill, it's bound to be amazing.

One thing that really excites me is the news about Tigera's upcoming releases. As a music lover, I'm always eager to hear how local bands are evolving their sound. Ben's hint about a noir-tinged direction for their new songs has definitely piqued my curiosity.

I have to say, one of my favorite parts of the interview was our little detour into imaginary experimental music. The idea of a 45-minute wood block solo had us all in laughing. It's moments like these that remind me why I love doing this podcast.

We also had a great discussion about supporting local bands. While Ben was initially hesitant to push merch sales, Adam and I felt it was important to emphasize how crucial this can be for bands. It was interesting to hear about their recent international show in Toronto and the financial challenges that come with such opportunities.

As someone who struggles with social media myself, I found Ben's candid admission about their TikTok challenges refreshing. His suggestion that their social media reluctance might preserve their rock and roll integrity gave us all a good laugh.

Throughout the episode, Ben's passion for music and appreciation for Tigera's fans really shone through. It's bands like this that make Milwaukee's music scene so special.

For our listeners, this episode offers both an entertaining peek into our local rock scene and some practical Summerfest tips. If you're a fan of Milwaukee music (or just good conversation), give it a listen.

And if you're free on July 4th, why not head down to Summerfest and check out Tigera?

I know I'll be there!
