Milwaukee's Top Remote Workplace Options

We know some of you might be looking to get out of the house to get some work done from time to time.

Here's our fun take on three unique spots in Milwaukee to work remotely.

Hey there, Milwaukee remote workers!

It's Adam here, bringing you another installment of our Experience Milwaukee top picks. In this one, we tackle a topic near and dear to the hearts of remote and hybrid workers. Yes, I'm talking about you, the ‘remoters,’ who may or may not be (but definitely are) tuning in from your home office or living room couch.

You know, it's funny, Steve and I were just chatting about the quirks of working remotely. I confessed that when I'm home alone, the place feels eerily quiet, and instead of focusing on work, I end up doing household chores. Steve, too, noticed that when he's off work, he suddenly sees all the little things around the house that need fixing.

That's why we're dedicating this episode to you, the valiant warriors of the work-from-home brigade. We understand: sometimes you need to escape the confines of your home to get that sweet, sweet productivity—or as we like to say, to 'Get Shit Done' (GSD).

We've got three unique suggestions for those of you in Milwaukee seeking sanctuary from the domestic distractions. These are spots where we've hammered out projects, enjoyed the ambiance, and yes, even indulged in a little day drinking (purely for creative purposes, of course).

Transfer Pizzeria Café

First up, we have to give a shout-out to our Transfer Pizzeria Café studio. It’s an honorable mention as a haven for focused work, and not just because they’re a sponsor, but because it's genuinely an awesome place to pull up, grab a diet Coke, maybe some delicious food, and hunker down. Best time of day to GSD: 2-5pm.

Wantable Cafe

Then there's Wantable Cafe, which is practically a melting pot of cool people doing cool stuff. Every time I'm there, I feel like the cool factor just rubs off on me. It's not only a cafe but a hub for the city's movers and shakers, ranging from underground to mainstream initiatives. Best time of day to GSD: 7am-12pm (lotsa networking opps in the afternoon!).

Escuela Verde Newline Community Cafe

Let's not forget Escuela Verde Newline Community Cafe, a favorite of mine for its student-run vibe and fantastic coffee. It's a place where professionals and educators mix, and the student involvement adds a layer of community and entrepreneurial spirit that's downright inspiring. Best time of day to GSD: all day!

Radious

Last, but not least, we discuss Radius, the Portland-based company that understands our need to find a local spot to work that's not our house. They offer residential spaces you can rent by the day, perfect for when you need to get away from life's chaos or host a meeting with your team. Best time of day to GSD: all day, it’s all yours!

So there you have it, folks—our guide to escaping the remote work blues in Milwaukee. We're curious, though. What have we missed? Where do you go to escape the siren call of your laundry pile or the incessant barking of the neighbor's dog? Share with us your hidden work-from-home havens in Milwaukee. We’re all ears and always on the lookout for new spots to explore and share with our community.

Keep being awesome, keep being 'wantable,' and until next time, keep experiencing Milwaukee.
